The Tall Tax And How To Enjoy Creating Your Own Style

I happen to believe there is a tall tax that we’re responsible for when it comes to buying clothing that’s long enough to not show our bellies when we barely lift our arms. One struggle that comes with being as tall as I am is that everything is too short or small in general. If I gain a lot of weight, I have even more of an issue as that generally means I need to go a size or two up for it to provide adequate coverage around my belt-line.

When it comes to the quality of my clothing, I have realized that it sometimes is worth it to pay a tiny bit more. My favorite shirts are the 3XL size at IntoTheAM. If you’re online a lot then you may have seen their ads. I’ll share a link to a shirt here when you click on this text if you’re interested in finding designs you like that can be shipped to you quickly through Amazon. The shirt linked in the text is the arcade spaceman one and the below image can be clicked if you want to see even more designs like these jellyfish:

When it comes to awesome shirts, it can be hard to justify spending more than 20 or 30 dollars and I used to be able to find my size of cool graphic tees at Walmart and similar places but over the years more and more of the graphic shirts replaced with things like sports team memorabilia. As someone that prefers Mario Golf over watching Tiger Woods do it on TV, I really wish big and tall companies catered to people like me.

Back in the day when I was growing up, I remember a period of time where we had huge pants called Jncos and if you were a “stoner” (someone who smokes weed) then that was your designated style. Along with those pants came sneaking all manner of stuff into places like you could fit a whole bong and then some in each pocket. Those belts we had to wear back then were putting in work, at least for me.

If you try to cut too many corners with your clothing, you’re going to end up only wearing the same stuff as everyone else. Not many people are willing to express themselves through what they wear. They prefer not to stand out and it makes sense but in keeping up with the kids YOLO (you only live once) and once you’re gone if you didn’t cement your memory in a positive way in someone’s mind, what did you really accomplish?

I hope all is well out there in Oregon and wherever else you may be,

As a bigger guy it’s super important to have a good style. Also to make sure things fit like they should. I’m glad the materials for these shirts are good. Now I may grab some up !

Yeah growing up I didn’t realize the key to my style was being comfortable in what I was wearing for myself, not others. Some never ascend past their gossipy younger stage lol.

Indeed . It’s weird that way . Whatever I would rather be comfortable and have a good fit . Then pay a ton for something that is ill fitting and a garbage material
