While reading over fluff posts to get away from the news I found another mention of a tall person involved in a rather interesting situation that will test your morals a bit. Basically, in the post you can see if you click this text, a man was living next to neighbors that were mean to their dog. They would do stuff like make it stay outside overnight for getting on the couch and would frequently hit it.
OP said he’s 6-foot-2 and so he was able to put together a plan to leverage his height to get into the neighbor’s place with a kit he put together specifically for kidnapping their dog. (I don’t know if this is a dognapping but I figure kid is a safe word to use for most people that love dogs.)
When I read that post I was really sad for the dog and thought it was fine that someone would rescue it. I’m also thinking OP, if this is really a true story, is lucky that the crazy people that hurt animals didn’t wake up and defend their place with weapons or whatever.
Apparently OP was asked about the damage to the fence and the neighbor that lost the dog said something about not liking the dog anyway so OP thinks he did the right thing. I’m on the side of OP in this one, for sure, and since it mentioned he was tall I thought it tied in because I’ve definitely planned some heists for random stuff before as a tall person in my youth (don’t worry no felonies just dumb stuff like more snacks my mom thought were hiding but didn’t remember I was tall).

I am actually not sure what makes people not like dogs because I have never been a friend with someone like that for long enough to ask why. There’s a lot to be said for the vibe animals have around you and if you’re hurting them all the time to toughen them up or whatever, it says a lot about what happened to you to make you think that’s how things should work.
When I see a pet that someone doesn’t like I always wonder why they don’t get rid of it if they hate it so much. Even letting it run away seems like less of a hassle than keeping a pet around and it has a better chance at a decent life than staying chained up somewhere or getting yelled at for no reason.
