Can A Big And Tall Person Get A Tall Bed Blanket?

One big issue I’ve encountered as a tall person is that I rarely am able to find a blanket for my bed that is long enough. At 6’6″ I feel that I kind of just have to cover myself with whatever’s on the bed but recently I found the perfect bed blanket for tall people and it has helped me be more comfy so I wanted to share it.

I have a queen sized bed but this is a king sized blanket, and then some. This is nice, especially if you have a partner because you can not only fit on one side of it, your partner can steal a lot of it before it causes you any problems.

Big and Tall Blanket Drawbacks?

The only drawback to such a big blanket is that it’s a pain in the ass to fit into the washer and dryer. You may have to take it to the laundromat but it may also work in a home washer and dryer as long as they are not those compact machines.

Ours has been washed a couple of times now and no issues came of it. It still looks and feels like it did when I got it in the mail. People are really missing out in my opinion if they are big and tall and don’t have a long enough blanket to cover them all the way up.

One thing I was skeptical about was that it was supposedly a great blanket for hot sleepers. That’s mainly why I got it, because if you know me like my wife does you know that I have PTSD so I have nightmares and those make me super warm as they can raise my heart rate out of nowhere. This blanket is nice because it’s like a half of the thickness of my last blanket so when I do have nightmares I don’t wake up drenched like I would if I were under a thicker material.

Now this blanket may be a little more than I’d like, but the fact is that many couples have 1 warm sleeper and 1 cool one which is a massive pain if you are always making sure your partner is comfy but you are not. This blanket helps with that issue, and it is more than long enough for me as long as it’s the king sized variation. My bed is queen sized, but I’m a king size person I suppose.

Many people do not think about the struggles a big and tall person faces that they may not have thought about. We definitely have a lot to deal with in the world due to everything being made for average people not those that exist outside of that spectrum.
