A Big and Tall Man’s Views On Listening To Feedback

,

I heard a while back that you shouldn’t listen to advice from people that are not using their own advice. Obviously, there’s something wrong there with their whole process or they wouldn’t be having all those issues.

Feedback for men isn’t easy for them to take because they really don’t like anyone helping them or telling them what to do. However, the most successful people know that you have to learn to sort through the good and bad feedback on your own before you apply what works in your situation.

As a tall person or someone that’s large in other ways, you are going to stick out wherever you go. I embraced this long ago and my anxiety went away. It helped me to think about how if they do think about me after all that because I’m that important, then their chatter about me just spreads the word further and I don’t care if people like me now or not.

I am nice as much as I can tolerate then I go silent for a bit if they are not someone I can trust. I used to be the type that thought everyone would be nice if given the right conditions, but sometimes that’s not true either. People are like anything in nature, they are on a whole spectrum of good and evil in my opinion.

Might be a good idea to start listening to people, especially if you hear the same feedback from more than one person. But I’ve heard wise things from everywhere from homeless people to millionaires I was friends with. I’ve also heard bad advice from people with a lot of money, and have seen them get surprised when their system fell apart because they didn’t evolve their skills with the times.

On instance is I told a professional they need an email to make our lives easier. They said they know what they’re doing, yet they were hurting for business at the time and eventually closed due to not having an online presence. You can’t get wealthy operating with no strategy. The pray and spray thing tends to get you lucky if you have enough resources, but you can only have finite luck in my opinion. It’s the same thing gamblers do, where they say just one more try to get that money back that we spent before until it’s all gone.

Anyway, if you are a tall person in Oregon or anywhere else in the world here are some unisex minimalist shoes I love, especially after hip surgery as I build up my strength (CLICK HERE OR ON THE IMAGE FOR THE LINK):

I picked these shoes because they are bold and to wear them you have to be willing to withstand the dirty looks and people that compliment them. Luckily nice people outnumber the other type of people, but I felt this would be appropriate for this particular post. I also wore these for a couple of years, and I’d say they were worth it.
