Being Big And Tall In A World That’s Small

Are Minimalist Shoes Helpful If You’re Big And/Or Tall?

I get asked a lot about my shoes, specifically when I wear the most minimalist ones possible. That, or I get unsolicited medical tips because some people know it’s helpful with various problems. For me personally, I learned grounding a long time ago and through that I learned how much we fuck up our feet for no real reason. Then we just add more and more cushions, subsequently making someone a lot of money but is it really doing anything besides costing money?
I am not really allowed to say these will solve anything and I also have to say run anything you change by your doctor. I broke my hip a couple of years back though and heard so many men telling me they had similar surgery and didn’t get out of bed for 6 months and I was getting my walker out and going to the store before I was allowed to because I really didn’t want to be trapped in a bed.
But I realized that my hip problems are probably tied to my shoes not always being that even and there’s a possibility my surgery resulted in my leg slightly changing size. But after wearing mostly my barefoot shoes like these (click image or this text to check them out on Amazon):
One thing I really like about shoes like this is that they tend to strengthen your feet within a week or two. People think walking over rocks and all that hurts, but you learn to actually feel with your feet and even if you do put your weight on a rock eventually you are able to handle that and then some without even a wince. And I know some would say that’s crazy but look into stuff like how sleeping on a wooden floor or something hard is better for you than a soft mattress and will help your back problems sometimes after you get past how uncomfortable it is because it’s new to you.
Be careful if you live on the Oregon Coast like I do. I live in the Coos Bay area and it rains a lot so you have to make sure you know whether or not the shoes are meant to get wet and allow water in. Some have holes on the bottom to let water out and in basically so they are meant for walking in the water and those are not that great for walking around in the rain. Either wear those when it’s dry out or when you’re dealing with water or they get nasty pretty quickly from all the crap floating around when it rains in cities.
The older I get the more I realize that I’ve been putting myself into boxes for companies for a long time, to a point where I exist only to use technology to do stuff because I don’t have enough time to do it another way. So I guess having shoes that get me a little closer to the worms and whatever else is going on under me keeps me from fully dissolving into the Matrix or whatever you want to call what we’re developing into as people.
