A Woman Calls Out A Man She’s Dating For Lying About Being Tall

One thing I like to do when I’m bored is browse Reddit. I figured I”d share some big and tall posts and write about my thoughts on them, as an audience I had at another place loved these so I thought ya’ll might too.
In this post on Reddit, a woman talks about how she’s 5’11” and how a man she met online said he was 6’1″. However, when she met him she noticed he was almost shorter than her so she called him out on it.
Apparently, when she did this he didn’t take it very well. She then goes on to say that many men lie about how tall they are. As someone that is 6’6″ myself, I never really tried to lie as I actually wish I was shorter. Sure, it sounds good on paper to be this tall but there are so many random issues like the fact that when you grow as a kid it HURTS. I also have back issues and a number of other pains due to having to sit in all these small chairs and such.
In my opinion, if someone lies about something as basic as how tall they are then that’s grounds for me not to go further. At least, if I weren’t married that would be my stance these days. My reasoning is that if they’re going to lie about something as easy to detect as that, imagine what they’re going to lie about in the future.

Anyway, when it comes to being big and tall you really have to be up front with people. As you get older you learn that your time is valuable, so you learn to cut through the bullshit and just tell it like it is. There’s a reason most old people say unhinged shit, and it’s likely tied to them knowing that time is finite (at least for our physical selves) so they may as well enjoy it.
The only time I got turned down based on my looks after high school or whatever was one time when I was doing online dating. I had and still have a full beard and a woman hit me up to talk. After a while, she said I’d have to shave to go out with her and I was like yeah no thanks I don’t even know you and blocked her.
I will say a year or so before I got married, I did shave my whole beard off suddenly. I wanted to see if my wife still liked the way I looked in case my beard ever fell off or being a wizard didn’t work out as a career path. She appreciated it actually, because she learned that I’m not using my beard to hide a lack of a chin or anything I just like having one because it’s red while all my other hair isn’t.
How about ya’ll? Would you add a couple inches to your height if you were or are not as tall as you’d like? What if someone else lied to you, would you forgive them or see it as a sign to run?
